About the Role The Company is seeking an Executive Director for its Payer Field Team, responsible for leading and managing commercial and government Payer relationships, including PBMs, Insurers, Medicaid, and the VA/DOD. The role involves communicating the company's portfolio, corporate and product value propositions to the Payer community, educating them on the value of the company's products, and leading a team of Account Directors to devise and execute customer-specific strategies. The successful candidate will integrate across the organization to align resources and strategic initiatives, ensuring patient and provider access to The Company's therapies in support of commercial launch and growth plans. This position requires a seasoned pharmaceutical industry veteran with extensive knowledge of the US healthcare landscape, payer practices, and a proven track record in field leadership and market access strategy formulation and execution.Applicants must have a BS/BA degree with at least 15 years of experience in the pharmaceutical, medical device, or biotech industry, and an MBA is preferred. The role demands a leader with strong communication and collaboration skills, the ability to influence others, and a leadership style that is evidence-based and resilient. The candidate should be adept at team development, have in-depth knowledge of healthcare reimbursement practices and regulatory requirements, and be capable of engaging senior management on payer, field operations, and financial matters. Experience in managing vendors, budget development, and control is essential, as is the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with high expectations. Extensive travel is also a requirement for this position.
