About the Role
The Company, a recognized clinical-stage biotechnology therapeutics company, is seeking an Executive Director for Strategic and National Accounts. This key leadership role involves developing and executing the Market Access Payer strategic plan, focusing on business opportunities in national and regional markets for both new and existing products. The ideal candidate will be a strategic and tactical expert in market access, payer coverage, and contracting, with a strong background in bio/pharmaceuticals and at least 10 years of direct US Payer Account management experience. Oncology experience is highly preferred, especially in the context of successful product launches.Responsibilities for this position include collaborating with commercial leadership to refine the company's payer access strategy, informing the organization of market insights, and partnering with various teams to develop customer pull-through strategies. The Executive Director will also be responsible for building and maintaining strong client relationships, driving key initiatives, and inspiring a team of national account directors. The role requires a seasoned leader with in-depth knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturer compliance, patient confidentiality regulations, and reimbursement processes. The successful candidate will have demonstrated negotiation skills, financial acumen, and the ability to influence others. A Bachelor's Degree is required, with a preference for a degree in health sciences or business/marketing, and an MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
