The Executive Director of Transformation Operations & Strategy serves as a central execution leader within the enterprise Transformation Office, responsible for ensuring disciplined performance management, operational cadence, and cross-functional alignment across strategic initiatives within an integrated healthcare system.Job Description:
Transformation Office Operations & Cadence Leadership
• Own and manage the weekly Transformation Office cadence, including agenda design, performance tracking, issue escalation, and follow-through across all active workstreams
• Establish and maintain standardized governance structures, reporting frameworks, and performance metrics to ensure alignment to enterprise transformation goals
• Ensure accountability across workstreams by monitoring milestones, dependencies, risks, and outcomes
Integration & Workstream Enablement
• Lead onboarding, alignment, and ongoing enablement of:
o Workstream leaders
o Initiative Owners (IOs)
o Transformation Office team members
• Define expectations, operating rhythms, and performance standards for all transformation participants
• Provide coaching and operational guidance to ensure leaders are equipped to drive results within the transformation framework
Performance Management & Execution Discipline
• Drive enterprise-wide performance management practices tied to transformation initiatives, including KPI definition, tracking, and reporting
• Identify execution risks and intervene to remove barriers to performance
• Partner with Finance, Strategy, and Operations to align transformation initiatives with financial impact, cost optimization, and strategic priorities
Strategic Initiative Leadership & Coordination
• Support the implementation and monitoring of high-impact strategic initiatives requiring complex coordination and cross-functional execution
• Ensure alignment between transformation efforts and broader organizational priorities including growth, operational efficiency, and care delivery optimization
• Drive consistency in planning artifacts (e.g., business cases, SBARs, dashboards) to improve decision-making quality
Confidential & Executive-Level Project Support
• Lead or support highly confidential, executive-sponsored initiatives, requiring discretion, judgment, and cross-functional influence
• Operate as a trusted extension of executive leadership, managing sensitive information and complex stakeholder dynamics
Enterprise Communication & Change Enablement
• Partner with communications and leadership teams to ensure clear, consistent cascading of transformation priorities and progress across the organization
• Enable adoption of transformation initiatives through structured communication, stakeholder engagement, and change reinforcement strategies
Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement
• Identify and implement opportunities to improve transformation effectiveness, including:
o Governance models
o Decision-making processes
o Cross-functional coordination
• Drive standardization and scalability of transformation practices across the enterprise
Additional Job Description:
Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
7–10+ years of progressive experience in healthcare strategy, operations, consulting, or transformation leadership
Demonstrated experience supporting enterprise-wide initiatives and executive leadership teams
Proven ability to manage complex, cross-functional programs in a matrixed healthcare environment
Experience with performance management, KPI development, and operational execution tracking
