Executive Housekeeper

DoubleTree Hotel & Suites by the Galleria, located in the upscale Galleria area is looking for an experienced, hands on Executive Housekeeper with strong leadership and organizational skills. 

Required Skills and Abilities:

-At least four (4) years of previous full-service hotel housekeeping management experience required.

-Flexible to work AM, mid-shift, PM, weekends and holidays

-Must have the ability to communicate in English both verbal and written. Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.

-Strong organizational skills and multitasking abilities.

-Strong interpersonal skills to effectively address and resolve employee and guest related issues.

-Previous Hilton brand experience highly desired.

 Job Description:

-Hands on management to manage daily operations for housekeeping and laundry.

-Interview, hire, train, and provide open communication and support for all housekeeping and laundry staff.

-Enforce policies and procedures and hold staff accountable when performance expectations are not being met.  

-Manage department finances, including budget, inventory and labor.

-Review guest surveys, respond to unfavorable feedback and implement strategic plans to exceed brand cleanliness requirements.

-Inspect building cleanliness including guest rooms, corridors, guest lobby and employee areas to ensure cleanliness standards are met and maintained.
