Key Responsibilities (Executive Summary)

• Strategy & Partnership: Advise leadership, shape quarterly priorities and the 12\-quarter tech roadmap, and translate business needs into measurable product outcomes.
  




• Product Engineering & Delivery: Build a product\-centric, engineering\-led tech organization with strong standards across low\-code, SaaS, cloud, and integration platforms.
  




• Data, Analytics & AI: Drive local and global data initiatives, applied AI, and automation with clear guardrails to enable fast, actionable insights.
  




• Planning, Execution & Stakeholder Engagement: Manage tech plans, OKRs, and capacity; run agile planning cycles; communicate progress, risks, and value clearly to stakeholders.
  




• Talent, Culture & Operations: Hire and develop high\-performing teams, foster ownership and simplicity, ensure service reliability, and manage vendors and compliance effectively.
  

Requirements

• 12–15+ years in Technology, with 5+ years leading product engineering or delivery teams; proven ability to simplify complex portfolios and deliver outcomes quickly.
  




• Demonstrated success transitioning from project\-based to product\-based models and fostering an engineering culture across cloud, integration, data, and automation.
  




• Effective executive partner who shapes decisions, presents options, and operates successfully in matrixed regional or global environments.
  




• Strong technical depth with hands\-on credibility in:
  

  
  
  
  

  • Cloud & Integration: Azure, API management, microservices, MuleSoft/Logic Apps
    

  
  

  • Data & AI: Databricks/Genie (or equivalent), SQL, BI, responsible AI patterns
    

  
  

  • Low\-Code & Automation: Power Apps/Automate, RPA/UiPath, M365 ecosystem
    

  
  

  • CRM & Field Engagement: Veeva, Salesforce (SFDC), and web/digital experience platforms
    

  
  



• Excellent communication in Japanese and English; able to influence across business and technology stakeholders
  

Education & Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field with at least 7 years of relevant experience, or
  




• Bachelor’s degree in the same fields with at least 9 years of relevant experience
  




• Agile/SAFe, cloud, or data certifications are a plus (e.g., Azure, Databricks, PMP, PMI\-ACP, SAFe)
