Expanded Duties Dental Assistant

We are looking for a skilled and confident EDDA/EFDA to join our team!

Please Note:

We are specifically looking for a true EDDA who is comfortable and experienced with anterior fillings, crown seats, placing and contouring restorations, and other advanced assisting duties. This is a clinical, hands-on role requiring a high level of proficiency and autonomy.

Location: Colorado Springs, CO 80923
Compensation: $26-$29/hour
Schedule: Tuesday - Friday 7:30AM-5pm

Job Responsibilities Include:

• Ensure patient comfort during procedures

• Prepare operatories for treatment and sterilize instruments

• Use four-handed dentistry to assist during procedures

• Take X-rays and intraoral photos

• Accurately plan treatment based on doctor’s diagnosis

• Educate patients and provide post-op instructions

• Perform dental charting and treatment coding

• Pour models, take impressions, fabricate and cement temporary crowns

• Place temporary and permanent restorations with proper contour

• Seat crowns, place sealants, perform coronal polishing

• Take final impressions and monitor nitrous oxide

• Maintain accurate PHI documentation

• Handle admin tasks (calls, scheduling, follow-ups)

• Collaborate closely with the dental team

• Maintain supply inventory and budgets

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• CPR/BLS certification

• Completion of an accredited dental assisting program preferred

• EDDA certification required (or minimum 1 year experience if in CO)

• EFDA license required (WA)

• DANB and radiology certifications required (WA)

• Experience with Open Dental or Dentrix preferred

• Comfortable with anterior fillings, crown seats, and restorative procedures

• Team-oriented, detail-focused, and adaptable
