As a Expeditor (Expo), you will be one of the driving forces behind the cafe’s success, responsible for helping keep a smooth workflow between the kitchen and the tables while ensuring that it has been prepared to Another Broken Egg Cafe standard. We are looking for individuals who are detail oriented, organized, and energetic. Our team members must be professional, have great communication skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and have a great attitude to ensure a positive guest experience.

Main Responsibilities

• Communicate food orders to ensure accurate food preparation (notes from servers, advise of any noted allergies or substitution in food order) 
• Follows proper plate presentation and garnishes set up for all dishes 
• Ensure items are prepared properly and on a timely basis, following the standards set by the cafe. 
• Practice safe food and beverage handling. 
• Promptly address customer service issues and refer customers to management when necessary. 
• Prepares, stocks and maintains sufficient levels of food products at Expo station to assure smooth service 
• Opens and closes the kitchen properly by following the checklist procedures 
• Maintain a clean and presentable work area 
• Performs other related duties as assigned by management 

 Job Qualifications 

• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Attention to detail and organization
• Must be able to read menu items
• Able to reach, bend, stoop and perform cleaning duties. 
• Flexibility to work weekends and holidays, as required
• Must be able to stand and work on feet for 6-8 hours of a shift
• Must be able to lift 30+ lbs (required to carry trays and supplies)
• Assist in re-stocking & detail cleaning of all aspects of the restaurant.
