Expeditor/Kitchen Manager

NEPTUNE sushi offers carefully curated, intently crafted bowls and sushi for delivery and pickup only. We start with clean, premium ingredients, from responsibly sourced seafood to house-made sauces, and finish with meals that are made fresh to order, packaged to travel, and always full of flavor.

We are looking for a highly organized and meticulously detail-oriented individual to join the NEPTUNE sushi team as an Expeditor. This crucial role carries significant responsibility for ensuring accuracy and upholding our high standards at all times.

Kitchen Operations & Preparation:

• Setting up workstations and ingredients for food preparation.
• Assisting in the final preparation and plating, and packaging of dishes according to the chef's specifications and our restaurant standards.
• Maintaining a clean workstation and inspecting premises for quality and sanitation.

Order Management & Service Flow:

• Ensuring the efficient flow of orders from the POS/KDS to the kitchen.
• Prioritizing orders and checking dishes for 100 % accuracy, presentation, and temperature before packaging for pick-up or delivery.
• Transferring important information between customers and the kitchen (e.g., special requests).

Guest Interaction & Support:

• Reading tickets, finishing orders, and properly packaging orders per our standards.
• May be required to greet guests as they arrive to pick up their order.
• May be required to greet delivery drivers as they arrive to pick up their order(s).
• Retrieving any items guests may need to accompany their meal.
• Assisting the kitchen team with side work during downtime.

Requirements

• Must be able to obtain all work cards
• Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship
• Has 1 or more years of experience in a food expeditor role
• Must be able to obtain all work cards
• Fluent in English (written and spoken). High proficiency in both written and spoken English, with the ability to understand and express complex ideas effectively.
• Bilingual in English/Spanish is also an advantage in this role and a desired skill
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced, guest service-driven environment
• Clear, concise, written, and verbal communication skills

The roll has the schedule of Monday-Friday, 930am-230pm.
