Key Responsibilities:
Client Representation: Provide expert legal advice and representation to clients in matters related to estate planning, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and healthcare directives.
Elder Law Focus: Address the unique legal challenges faced by elderly clients, including long-term care planning, guardianship, Medicare/Medicaid issues, and elder abuse prevention.
Probate and Estate Administration: Assist clients in navigating the probate process, ensuring efficient administration of estates, resolution of disputes, and compliance with legal requirements.
Legal Research and Analysis: Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case strategies and ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
Document Drafting and Review: Prepare, review, and revise legal documents with accuracy and attention to detail to ensure they meet clients' needs and legal standards.
Client Communication and Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients through clear communication, timely updates, and empathetic understanding of their circumstances.
Collaboration and Teamwork: Work collaboratively with colleagues and support staff to deliver comprehensive legal solutions, share knowledge, and enhance the overall effectiveness of the firm.
Continuing Legal Education: Stay up-to-date with developments in estate planning, elder law, and probate to maintain expertise and provide clients with the most current and effective legal counsel.
Qualifications:
- A Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active membership in the state bar association.
- Proven experience in estate planning, elder law, and probate.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Strong ethical standards and professional integrity.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.
- Demonstrated commitment to client service and achieving favorable outcomes.
