Description

We are searching for an analytical, enthusiastic Dealership Technician to help our guests resolve issues with vehicle performance and appearance. The Dealership Technician will diagnose, maintain, and repair cars, test components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment, and work with a great team of advisors and an experienced management.

To be a successful dealership technician, you should be focused on providing high quality service to the guests as you help them identify, repair, and avert issues that may affect the performance or longevity of their vehicles. You should be thorough, reliable, honest, logical, and motivated.

Auto Mechanic Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose the cause of any malfunction and perform repair
  • Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with the dealership
  • Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
  • Diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
  • Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that guests can be informed if any additional service is needed. Providing an estimate of the time needed for additional repairs
  • Executing repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1 year of experience as auto technician.
  • Additional education, certifications, or experience is generally preferred.
  • Proven ability to diagnose and repair vehicles and follow safety instructions and directions.
  • Proficiency with hand tools and other equipment.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Excellent active listening, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, independent, and reliable with a strong work ethic.
