Andy Mohr Toyota is looking for an experienced Automotive Technician / Automotive Mechanic to join our growing service team in Avon, Indiana.

We're looking for a technician who knows their way around a vehicle, can diagnose problems accurately, and takes pride in delivering quality repairs. If you have strong mechanical skills, understand modern automotive systems, and want to continue building your career in a dealership environment, we'd like to hear from you.

Toyota experience is a plus, but technicians with experience working on other makes are encouraged to apply.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and drivability concerns.
  

• Perform vehicle inspections, maintenance, and general repairs.
  

• Repair and service engines, transmissions, brakes, steering, suspension, and HVAC systems.
  

• Troubleshoot electrical systems using diagnostic tools and technical information.
  

• Interpret diagnostic trouble codes, wiring diagrams, and manufacturer repair procedures.
  

• Complete factory-recommended maintenance and scheduled services.
  

• Perform quality checks and road tests to verify completed repairs.
  

• Identify additional repair needs and document findings accurately.
  

• Work with Service Advisors, Parts, and other team members to complete repairs efficiently.
  

• Follow dealership safety procedures and maintain an organized work area.
  

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Previous professional automotive technician or mechanic experience required.
  

• Strong diagnostic, troubleshooting, and mechanical repair skills.
  

• Experience working with electrical and computerized vehicle systems.
  

• Familiarity with diagnostic scan tools and automotive repair procedures.
  

• Ability to read wiring diagrams and technical service information.
  

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  

• Ability to work independently and collaborate with a team.
  

• Dependable, organized, and comfortable working in a busy service department.
  

• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
  

EXPERIENCE THAT WILL HELP YOU STAND OUT

• Toyota or Lexus dealership experience
  

• ASE certifications
  

• Experience diagnosing advanced electrical and drivability issues
  

• Familiarity with OEM diagnostic equipment
  

• Experience working in a high-volume dealership or independent repair facility
  

Toyota certification is not required. We welcome experienced technicians with the skills and mechanical knowledge to succeed.
