Experienced Collision Center Estimator

Monday – Friday                                               Estimator average pay range $50,000 to $100,000

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Examines damaged vehicle to determine extent of structural, body, mechanical, or interior damage.


• Estimates cost of labor and parts to repair or replace each damaged item.


• Reviews repair cost estimates with body shop manager.


• Contacts customers upon receipt of parts and schedules work in a timely and efficient manner.


• Gives accurate promised times and notifies customers immediately of any changes or delays.


• Performs a quality control check and inspects each vehicle after repairs are completed.


• Completes and closes all repair orders and files repair orders and related documents.


• Verifies insurance payment, rental authorization, and balance due prior to release of vehicles.


• Determines feasibility of repair versus replacement of parts, such as bumpers, fenders, and doors.


• Evaluates practicality of repair as opposed to payment of vehicle market value before accident.


• Prepares insurance forms to indicate repair cost estimates and recommendations.

• Able to learn and successfully navigate collision repair specific computer software, including estimating management and vehicle information provider software


• Valid driver license
