Experienced Dementia Caregiver - IMMEDIATE HIRE!

Seeking Dementia Caregiver in Columbia, MO

Do you enjoy building meaningful relationships with seniors living with Alzheimer's or dementia?

We're seeking a compassionate, experienced caregiver to support a retired teacher and devoted family man who enjoys walks, music, conversation, and staying active. Bonus points for caregivers who enjoy fishing and getting outdoors!

This role is ideal for someone who understands dementia care and enjoys creating engaging, purposeful days, not just completing tasks.

Pay

•  Competitive pay: $16.00-$18.00/hr

REQUIRED AVAILABILITY (MINIMUM)

• Monday & Friday


• 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM


• Additional daytime opportunities available!


• Expanded hours available/needed July 8–15

What You'll Do

• Provide companionship and respite support


• Assist with showers and grooming


• Support shaving, dressing, oral care, and appearance


• Take walks with the client and family dog


• Visit parks, libraries, and community locations


• Engage through music, conversation, and shared interests


• Use calm redirection when confusion occurs


• Help maintain dignity, confidence, and routine

• Has Alzheimer's/dementia experience

• Is comfortable with personal care


• Is dependable and proactive
