Experienced Detail Technician

🚗 Experienced Automotive Detailer Wanted – Join the O'Brien Auto Team!

We’re looking for a skilled and dependable Automotive Detailer who knows their way around a detail shop. If you take pride in making vehicles shine inside and out and have a strong attention to detail, we’d love to hear from you!

🔧 We are only considering experienced candidates at this time.

🧼 What You’ll Be Doing:

• Collaborate with team members to prepare new, used, and service vehicles for delivery, customer pickup, or display in the showroom/lot.


• Perform a full range of detailing tasks, including:
  
  
  
  • Shampooing carpets and upholstery
  
  
  • Vacuuming seats and floors
  
  
  • Washing, waxing, buffing, and machine polishing
  
  
  • Leather conditioning and minor leather repairs
  
  
  • Wet sanding, window cleaning, and engine compartment cleaning
  
  
  
  


• Run occasional errands or deliveries, as needed.


• Maintain a clean and organized work area and uphold a professional image at all times.

✅ What We’re Looking For:

• Proven experience in automotive detailing — including waxing, buffing, interior and exterior reconditioning.


• Strong attention to detail and pride in delivering high-quality work.


• Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work efficiently with minimal supervision.


• Professional in appearance, communication, and attitude.


• Willingness to assist with additional duties as assigned.

📝 Requirements:

• Valid Illinois Driver’s License with a spotless driving record (no DUIs, tickets, or violations).


• High school diploma or GED.


• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.


• Ability to stay calm under pressure and meet deadlines.


• Must be able to work independently and follow instructions precisely.

💪 Physical & Environmental Expectations:

• Regularly lift and carry up to 50 lbs.


• Comfortable working in all weather conditions — hot, cold, wet, etc.


• Ability to bend, twist, reach, kneel, and stand for extended periods.


• Must maintain reliable and punctual attendance.
