Experienced Drywall/Painter

Embassy Suites Hotel is currently seeking an experienced Drywall / Painter to join our growing Maintenance Team!

We are looking for a skilled, dependable, and detail-oriented professional with strong drywall and painting experience. The ideal candidate will take pride in their work and help maintain a clean, attractive, and well-maintained environment for our guests and team members.

Position Responsibilities

• Perform drywall installation, repair, patching, and finishing throughout the hotel.


• Complete drywall taping, mudding, sanding, and texturing as needed.


• Repair holes, cracks, dents, water damage, and other wall or ceiling imperfections.


• Prepare surfaces for painting by sanding, scraping, patching, caulking, and priming.


• Perform interior painting and touch-up work in guest rooms, hallways, meeting rooms, common areas, and back-of-house areas.


• Match existing paint colors, textures, and finishes to maintain a consistent appearance.


• Repair and repaint walls, ceilings, doors, trim, and other painted surfaces.


• Perform caulking and minor wall repairs in guest rooms and common areas.


• Identify areas requiring repair or painting and communicate maintenance needs to management.


• Maintain clean and organized work areas before, during, and after each project.


• Safely operate and maintain painting and drywall tools and equipment.


• Follow proper safety procedures when using ladders, tools, equipment, paints, and other materials.


• Protect furniture, flooring, fixtures, and guest belongings during maintenance and painting projects.


• Assist with general hotel maintenance duties when needed.


• Respond to maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner.


• Maintain high standards of workmanship and attention to detail.


• Follow all hotel, brand, and company safety and quality standards.


• Demonstrate a friendly, courteous, and professional attitude toward guests, employees, and management at all times.

Requirements

• Experienced professional only.


• Proven experience in drywall repair, installation, finishing, and painting.


• Strong knowledge of drywall taping, mudding, sanding, patching, and finishing techniques.


• Demonstrated experience with interior painting and surface preparation.


• Ability to properly prepare surfaces and achieve a professional-quality finish.


• Ability to match existing paint colors, textures, and finishes.


• Knowledge of proper use and care of drywall, painting, and maintenance tools.


• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.


• Ability to work effectively as part of a maintenance team.


• Reliable, punctual, hardworking, and detail-oriented.


• Professional appearance and positive attitude.


• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.


• Ability to prioritize work and complete maintenance projects in a timely manner.


• Hotel, apartment, commercial, or other professional maintenance experience is a plus.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, reach, and work for extended periods.


• Ability to safely work from ladders and at elevated heights.


• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull tools, equipment, and materials.


• Ability to perform repetitive tasks such as sanding, painting, patching, and finishing.


• Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, ladders, and painting equipment.


• Ability to work in guest rooms, hallways, common areas, and other hotel environments.

Work Environment

• Work is performed throughout the hotel, including guest rooms, hallways, meeting rooms, common areas, and back-of-house areas.


• Must be able to work around paint, drywall dust, cleaning products, tools, and maintenance equipment while following appropriate safety procedures.


• Must maintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment at all times.
