Job Description - Experienced Heavy Duty Truck Diesel Mechanic

Negoshian's is looking to add to the team! We are looking for a experienced diesel mechanic.

Requirements:

Pass a pre employment drug test and random drug tests

Must have own tools, required

Certified in brakes

Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) CLASS B,
preferred but not required

Pass a DOT physical

Process and tracks repair orders

OEM Certifications, licenses, and registrations preferred

Certified in Air Brake adjustments

Heavy & Light duty truck experience

Trailer experience helpful preferred but not required

Cummins engines preferred

Responsibilities:

Performs vehicle maintenance and repair duties

Performs standard vehicle maintenance

Performs standard component inspections and repairs

Performs preventive maintenance

Diagnoses electronic problems, utilizing diagnostic computer when applicable

Identifies root cause of basic failures/conditions and perform repairs as required

Repairing and troubleshooting major components such as engines, transmissions and differentials, including replacing complete assemblies, turbochargers, fuel system components, etc.

Interacts with customers/drivers to properly determine nature of complaint once assigned a task

Works in accordance with all federal, state, & company compliance guidelines (i.e., safety, DOT)

Performs other support duties as required to support operations

Experience using all tools of the trade (including welding equipment, diagnostic equipment, and hand/power tools)

Physical Requirements:

Required to move frequently, stand, walk, climb, bend, and sit for extended length of time throughout their scheduled working period.

Required to use their hands on a routine and daily basis to grasp, reach, touch, handle, feel, and/or otherwise operate required tools or controls.

Willing to work in all weather conditions

Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50lbs

Compensation: $30.00 - $50.00 per hour
