Join Our Team as an Experienced Welder
Collins Machine Works is seeking a skilled and safety-focused Welder to support both production and maintenance welding. In this role, you’ll perform high-quality welding, operate and monitor heat treatment furnaces, and directly contribute to the efficiency and success of our operations.

$2,000 sign-on bonus after six months of satisfactory employment.

Primary Responsibilities
Perform multi-pass, all-position fillet and butt welds using SMAW, GMAW, and FCAW.
Apply welding techniques including submerged welding, oxygen-acetylene, electric arc, electro-slag, pulse MIG, and TIG.
Operate, maintain, and monitor heat treatment furnaces daily.
Interpret and work from blueprints, sketches, and templates.
Maintain compliance with company welding procedures, WPS processes, and safety standards.
Complete required training and maintain certifications, including Welder Workmanship Training (WWT).
Use hand tools and instruments safely and effectively.
Assist team members as needed and maintain a safe and clean work environment.
Requirements & Qualifications
High school diploma or GED.
3–5 years of heavy industrial welding experience preferred; strong candidates with relevant training and demonstrated aptitude will also be considered.
Ability to read blueprints, technical instructions, and precision measuring tools.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to apply mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions.
Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel for basic document creation and spreadsheet updates.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Willingness and ability to work overtime, including evenings and weekends.
Commitment to safety, compliance, and maintaining a clean work environment.
Physical Demands
Lift and move up to 50 lbs. as required.
Regularly stand, walk, reach overhead, stoop, crouch, kneel, climb ladders, and use stairs.
Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Use a computer regularly for work tasks.
