Job description
This team member is expected to have expert knowledge of landscaping, hardscaping, machine operating, pruning, mulching and general project management. This person needs to exhibit a passion for quality, good leadership and great communication skills. Responsibilities include managing crew, driving variety of trucks with trailers, skid steel/mini excavator operation, paver installation, plant knowledge, lawn installation and other various landscaping tasks. The Landscape Crew Leader is responsible for communication of any issues on site with crew.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver top-quality professional work on all jobs.
- Owning your properties and crew
- Help and assist all lawn and landscape crews
- Perform quality work with no call backs.
- Perform assigned production within budgeted labor hours.
- Complete reporting, paperwork, notes and forms accurately daily.
- Prepare trucks with equipment and materials in the morning before crews leave the shop.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, including the work site, trucks, shop, and equipment.
- Train crew members as necessary to ensure quality work is done
- Complete all duties safely with no accidents.
- Ensure crews safety in the workplace
- Perform other types of work during off-peak seasons, i.e. snow events.
- Grow your skills and knowledge of the company and the industry.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:
- Valid driver’s license
- Knowledge in landscaping, hardscaping, machine operating, pruning, mulching and general project management
- Good communication skills
- 3 years landscape foreman experience
- Ability to lift 50 pounds.
- Ability to work in varying outdoor weather conditions.
- Ability to follow directions.
3 years Foreman Experience is REQUIRED for this position.
