Experienced Orthodontic Assistant

A Smile 4U is looking for an experienced, dependable, and patient-focused Dental Assistant to join our Cartersville team!

We are seeking an assistant who is confident chairside, enjoys building relationships with patients, and takes pride in providing exceptional dental care. 3-5 years of orthodontic experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right experienced dental assistant who is motivated to learn and grow.

Pay: Competitive, based on experience

• Provide efficient chairside assistance to the dentist

• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials

• Anticipate the doctor's needs during procedures

• Assist with general dental and orthodontic procedures

• Take dental X-rays as permitted by applicable regulations and office protocols

• Perform efficient room turnover and maintain a clean, organized clinical environment

• Follow OSHA, infection-control, sterilization, and safety protocols

• Communicate with patients in a warm, professional, and reassuring manner

• Provide patient instructions as directed by the dentist

• Maintain accurate clinical documentation

• Stock and organize dental supplies

• Work closely with the dentist and entire dental team

• Help create a positive and comfortable experience for every patient

Required:

• Previous dental assisting experience

• Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures

• Strong understanding of infection control and sterilization

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Dependable, punctual, and organized

• Professional appearance and positive attitude

• Ability to work efficiently in a busy dental environment

• Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Preferred:

• 3-5 years of orthodontic assisting experience

• Familiarity with orthodontic appointments and procedures

• Experience with brackets, wires, impressions/scans, or other orthodontic procedures

• Expanded-function dental assisting experience, where applicable

• Current CPR/BLS and applicable dental assisting certifications
