Experienced Ford Parts Counter Associate

Platinum Ford is looking for an experienced Parts Counter Associate to join our Parts Department.

If you have dealership parts experience, understand the importance of keeping technicians productive, and know how to find the right part the first time, we want to talk to you.

This is not an entry-level position. We are looking for an experienced automotive parts professional who can work effectively in a fast-paced dealership environment while providing outstanding support to our technicians, service team, wholesale customers, and retail guests.

Ford dealership parts experience is strongly preferred.

What You'll Do

• 
  

  Assist technicians and Service Advisors with accurate parts identification and fulfillment

  
  


• 
  

  Pull and fill parts orders quickly and accurately

  
  


• 
  

  Inform customers and technicians of related or companion parts when appropriate

  
  


• 
  

  Locate out-of-stock parts through outside sources and place emergency orders when necessary

  
  


• 
  

  Monitor inventory and notify management of parts and shop supplies requiring immediate attention

  
  


• 
  

  Follow up on backordered and special-order parts

  
  


• 
  

  Notify Service Advisors when special-order parts arrive

  
  


• 
  

  Assist wholesale and outside sales representatives with orders

  
  


• 
  

  Ensure internal parts requests are properly billed to the appropriate repair order

  
  


• 
  

  Process returns, vendor returns, special orders, and backorders

  
  


• 
  

  Review will-call, backorder, and special-order inventory

  
  


• 
  

  Maintain organized records of repair orders, invoices, estimates, and special-order parts

  
  


• 
  

  Communicate effectively with technicians, advisors, vendors, customers, and other members of the Parts Department

  
  


• 
  

  Assist with lost-sales tracking and inventory control

  
  


• 
  

  Help maintain a clean, accurate, and organized Parts Department

  
  

What We're Looking For

• 
  

  Previous automotive dealership parts experience required

  
  


• 
  

  Ford parts experience strongly preferred

  
  


• 
  

  Previous parts retail and/or wholesale sales experience

  
  


• 
  

  Experience with Xtime and DealerTrack is a plus

  
  


• 
  

  Strong automotive parts knowledge and terminology

  
  


• 
  

  Ability to accurately identify, locate, and source parts

  
  


• 
  

  Excellent follow-up and communication skills

  
  


• 
  

  Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  
  


• 
  

  Ability to multitask and prioritize in a busy dealership environment
