The Opportunity

Bellamy Strickland Chevrolet GMC is looking for an experienced Automotive Service Advisor / Service Writer to join our Main Service Lane team.

We are seeking a motivated, customer-focused professional with previous dealership service writing experience who understands how to manage a busy service drive, build customer relationships, and effectively recommend and sell maintenance and repair services.

This is an excellent opportunity for an established Service Advisor who is ready to hit the ground running and grow with a family-owned dealership that has been serving its community since 1982.

Responsibilities

• 
  

  Greet and assist customers in a busy Main Service Drive while providing prompt, professional service.

  
  


• 
  

  Manage service appointments, repair orders, and customer communication from check-in through vehicle delivery.

  
  


• 
  

  Accurately document customer concerns, vehicle information, and recommended repairs.

  
  


• 
  

  Review technician findings, prepare estimates, and effectively present recommended maintenance and repairs to customers.

  
  


• 
  

  Maximize shop productivity by effectively selling technician labor hours and recommended services.

  
  


• 
  

  Maintain consistent communication with customers regarding vehicle status, repair timelines, and costs.

  
  


• 
  

  Work closely with technicians, dispatch, parts, and fellow advisors to ensure efficient service operations.

  
  


• 
  

  Build long-term customer relationships through excellent service, follow-through, and professionalism.

  
  


• 
  

  Maintain accurate repair orders and documentation in dealership systems.

  
  

Qualifications

• 
  

  Previous automotive dealership Service Advisor / Service Writer experience REQUIRED.

  
  


• 
  

  Proven ability to manage repair orders and effectively sell automotive maintenance and repair services.

  
  


• 
  

  Strong understanding of dealership fixed operations and service department processes.

  
  


• 
  

  Experience working in a high-volume service department preferred.

  
  


• 
  

  Excellent customer service, communication, and sales skills.

  
  


• 
  

  Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage multiple repair orders simultaneously.

  
  


• 
  

  Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.

  
  


• 
  

  Self-motivated, dependable, professional, and team-oriented.

  Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

  
  


•
