Koala Insulation of the Sound Shore is a high-quality, service-oriented insulation contractor serving homeowners and businesses in Westchester and Fairfield Counties. We are seeking a skilled and experienced Spray Foam Insulation Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying high-quality open and closed-cell spray foam insulation in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. Your expertise in insulation application, attention to detail, and commitment to safety will play a vital role in delivering exceptional service to our clients.
Experience with spray foam application and knowledge of machinery and equipment used are requirements for this position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and clean work surfaces, ensuring they are free of debris and ready for insulation application.
- Safely and efficiently operate spray foam insulation equipment, including mixing, spraying, and maintaining machinery.
- Measure and cut materials to fit project specifications and ensure precise application of insulation materials.
- Conduct inspections to ensure uniform coverage and compliance with project specifications and building codes.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform basic maintenance to ensure optimal performance.
- Follow all safety guidelines, including the use of proper personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to workplace safety standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring tools and equipment are properly stored.
- Communicate with team members and supervisors to ensure project timelines are met.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client concerns and answering questions about insulation processes.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in spray foam insulation application or a similar role.
- Proficient in the use of spray foam equipment and materials.
- Knowledge of safety practices and regulations related to spray foam insulation.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Physical stamina and ability to work in various environments, including confined spaces and elevated areas.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
