Explosion Protection Certification Engineer
Our client is looking an Explosion Protection Certification Engineer to join their team. This person will conduct various assessments to client’s products to ensure it meets the industry and client standards.

This includes preparing certification, reports and work with various teams to ensure it meets safety standards.

Scope:

Assess design of and examine and test

electronic/mechanical

equipment in accordance with requirements in published standards and procedure documents
Classifies product by use, environment and function
Determines applicable

requirements/test/standard
Determines sample requirements and method/location for testing evaluation best suited to customers' needs
Conducts pre-assessment of equipment to ensure the unit is equipped with the proper components and agrees with the construction indicated on the quote and submittal information
Prepare certification reports and related documents

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering preferred
5 years minimum experience in IECEx, ATEX, NEC, and CEC certification schemes
Knowledge and interoperation of the harmonized IEC 60079, ISO 80079, NFPA 70, 496, 497, UL 913, 1203, 1213, and ANSI 12.12.01 standards.
Proven competency of IECEx, ATEX, NA testing and evaluation requirements
Flameproof/ignition

proof competency preferred
