We are seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as an Export Coordinator.
The Export Coordinator’s primary purpose is to be responsible for the timely and efficient export of all international shipments. Ensuring full Customs export compliance for the company. This role’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to 3PL coordination, U.S. Customs issues associated with inbound and outbound freight, cargo transportation and delivery.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
Represent the company in a courteous, professional manner at all times
Create import/export documentation both within and outside of the scope of standard operating procedures
Process and ensure accuracy of customs documentation.
Assist freight forwarders and customs brokers with import and export issues associated with all shipments.
Assist in processing exports of parts to countries outside the US
Review for accuracy and process documentation to meet all regulatory requirements and ensure compliance
Track, trace, and report shipments to ensure timely delivery to destination
Assist in handling and resolving freight claims.
Assist in audits and reviews as scheduled or necessary.
Review thoroughly and print all import documentation to ensure full Import
Compliance, per U.S. Customs rules and regulations, inclusive of recordkeeping.
Maintain electronic records including daily import activity log (shipping manifest).
Work outside of normal hours of operation, as needed, in order to fulfill essential functions and responsibilities.
Maintain all files and paperwork relating to import/export matters.
All other duties as required or needed.

Requirements
Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Able to establish positive working
Intermediate Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel skills.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence and read/interpret documents.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, and co-workers.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to communicate verbally and written effectively
Education and Experience:
3 + years Import/Export experience in a 3PL, manufacturing or trading environment.
B.A. preferred, but not required.
Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
MS Outlook.
Knowledge of U.S. Customs Rules and Regulations.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent quantitative and analytical skills.
Excellent organization and time management skills.
Ability to work outside of regularly scheduled work hours if needed.
Physical Requirements:
Use a computer, telephone, and other office equipment.
Sit for extended periods, up to 8 hours a day if required.
May require walking primarily on a level surface for periodic periods throughout the day.
Reaching above shoulder heights, below the waist, or lifting as required to file documents.
May include lifting up to 25 pounds on occasion.
Primary environment: Shared office area with ambient room temperatures, lighting, and traditional office equipment found in a typical office environment.
The performance of this position requires exposure to warehouse areas where, at certain times, temperatures fluctuate based on external weather conditions.
