Job Description - Export Customer Service / Logistics
Summary of responsibilities:
Bilingual – Spanish speaking/writing is a must
Accurately process orders, returns, and exchanges according to company policies and procedures.
Address customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly and professionally.
Provide exceptional customer service via phone, email.
Stay up-to-date on product knowledge, company policies, and industry trends.
Responsible for proper documentation of export orders.
Stay up to date on export regulations.
Submit timely documentation as required.
Manage all aspects of ocean freight, including booking, documentation, and execution, ensuring compliance with international shipping regulations and safety standards for hazardous materials.
Work closely with internal teams, including supply chain, sales, and regulatory affairs, to ensure seamless coordination and communication throughout the shipping process
Work with confidential customer information
Build sustainable relationships and trust with customer accounts through open communication.
Assist with various administrative tasks as needed
Qualifications:
Bilingual – Spanish speaking/writing is a must
Knowledge of ocean freight operations, international shipping regulations, and safety standards for the transportation of hazardous materials is a plus.
Experience with US customs filings is a plus.
Knowledge of export processes is a plus.
Associate degree or equivalent work experience (2+ years direct experience required).
Basic knowledge of hazardous materials handling
Proficiency in computer systems and software, including CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite. NetSuite experience is a plus.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
Positive attitude and a willingness to learn and grow within the company.
Exceptional problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
