Extended School Year - Physical Therapist Position - Urgent Hire

Blazer Jobs is actively seeking an experienced Physical Therapist for a full-time contract position in Morton, PA, for the extended school year. This school-based role presents a valuable opportunity to work with special education students and their families, providing essential support to enhance their physical well-being and educational experience. Candidates must meet all requirements established by local and state regulations, with a strong preference for those with experience in special education settings.

Requirements:

• Valid licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of Pennsylvania.
• Previous experience working with special education students and their families is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of local and state regulations governing school-based physical therapy services.
• Exceptional communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
• Dedication to providing high-quality care and support to students.

Job Duties:

• Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to identify students' physical therapy needs.
• Develop comprehensive treatment plans tailored to students' goals and objectives.
• Deliver direct physical therapy services to students in accordance with their individualized education plans (IEPs).
• Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and other members of the educational team to ensure coordinated support for students.
• Monitor students' progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to optimize outcomes.
• Provide guidance and consultation to teachers and staff regarding students' physical therapy needs.
• Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of services provided and student progress.
• Participate actively in meetings, workshops, and professional development activities as required.
• Adhere to ethical standards and professional guidelines in all aspects of practice.
