Exterior Landscape Foreman Description

Exterior Landscape Foreman Duties and Responsibilities

• Supervise 1-6 landscape crew members. Oversee landscape maintenance for commercial properties; ensure daily projects are completed on time through delegation and monitoring of work crew.
• Provide on the job training; coach employees on performance and provide constructive feedback.
• Solve problems; elevate concerns as appropriate to management.
• Inspect jobs for quality and completion.
• Complete lawn maintenance, edging, mulching, planting wide range of trees, shrubs, and flowers with minimal supervision.
• Complete landscape installations, snow removal, holiday installation, holiday take-down, turf applications and irrigation.
• Safely drive and operate various company vehicles & equipment such as ZTR, walk behind mowers, skid loaders, plow trucks and salt spreaders.
• Install and remove interior and exterior commercial holiday decor during Holiday season.
• Perform snow removal work and be available for overtime / emergency snow removal when necessary.
• Maintain and promote a safe workplace by following and enforcing all safety guidelines.
• Report equipment or property damage and/or accidents to supervisor immediately.
• Prepare equipment and tools for landscaping work, clock employees in and out, maintain records, safely transport crews to worksites. 

Requirements

Exterior Landscape Foreman Requirements

• Valid Driver's License and a clean driving record required
• Formal landscape experience and snow removal experience strongly preferred
• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and be able to use upper and lower body to perform basic landscape functions
• Ability to train, coach and supervise others
• Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work
• Strong verbal communication skills
• Excellent attendance and reliability
• Attention to detail; Takes initiative to get work done
• Ability to solve problems
