External Funds Operational Controller

Middle Office is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented professional to oversee the operational integration and control of our External Funds. This role requires a strong background in Core Operations or Middle Office within a hedge fund, combined with project management expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Onboarding & Oversight

• Manage the operational onboarding of External Funds, ensuring compatibility with Millennium’s infrastructure through comprehensive testing and validation.

• Collaborate with internal teams across Core Operations to address integration challenges and establish operational readiness.

• Supervise daily operational workflows for External Funds, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and prompt resolution of issues.

• Monitor key operational metrics and implement corrective actions as needed to maintain high standards of performance.

Process Improvement & Project Management:

• Identify opportunities to streamline onboarding workflows and enhance operational processes.

• Drive cross-functional initiatives to improve system integration, testing, and overall operational efficiency.

• Manage projects related to operational enhancements, ensuring timely execution and alignment with business goals.

Qualifications:

• Required Experience:

  • Core Operations or Middle Office experience at a hedge fund is essential.

  • Proven track record in project management, including planning, execution, and cross-functional coordination.

• Skills:

  • Strong organizational and project management skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

  • Ability to manage complex integrations, including trading system testing and validation.

  • Deep understanding of diverse asset classes, trading systems, payout agreements, and financing rules.

  • Detail-oriented with a proactive, solutions-driven mindset.

The estimated base salary range for this position is $160,000 to $250,000, which is specific to New York and may change in the future. Millennium pays a total compensation package which includes a base salary, discretionary performance bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package. When finalizing an offer, we take into consideration an individual’s experience level and the qualifications they bring to the role to formulate a competitive total compensation package.
