We have an exciting opportunity for an External Sales Engineer to join our team based in Houma, Louisiana.
In this role you will be providing superior customer service to new and existing clients, driving sales and business development activities and asserting and winning revenue opportunities!
What you'll be doing:
Strategy
Working with the senior leadership team to identify and implement revenue growth strategies in current geographical and service markets
Developing cross selling strategies and opportunities that broaden the use of the Group’s products and services
Increase revenue through deep client relationships
Adopting a hands-on approach to client development with a focus on identifyingopportunities to create and win profitable business
Identifying, developing, and maintaining robust and effective business relationships with client key decision makers
Proactively managing and strengthening client relationships by being their problem solving “go to” person
Continually following up with clients through opportunity cycle, assisting where required and ensuring quality service delivery to secure repeat business
Leading all sales support activities to meet customer needs. Be the focal point on all technical sales activities.
Providing accurate forecasting of opportunities and regular updates on opportunity status. Engage in customer-facing activities.
Market intelligence
Monitoring the market, customers, suppliers, and competitors and ensure market intelligence is captured and used effectively in the business decision making process
Business information & reporting
Preparing and delivering client account strategies and maintaining market tracking database information
Maintaining the CRM system including opportunity pipeline
Managing and reporting client activity and chase plans
Contributing to periodic financial budget and forecasting exercises
Teamwork
Working closely with colleagues to identify and deliver solutions to strategic, technical, service delivery, contractual and/or commercial challenges impacting client account performance
Liaising and assisting colleagues in other service lines and locations across the Ashtead Technology group in line with their “One Team” approach
What experience you'll bring:
You have thorough technical knowledge of the subsea industry and the group’s product and service lines; survey experience highly preferred
Strong experience of project execution, sales support and/or business development
The propensity to develop strong client relationships and manage the sales cycle and ongoing client relationship management
Ability to present products and services to wide range of people with varying levels of technical knowledge
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
Ability to solve problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
Well organised and decisive with excellent communication skills, capable of successfully operating in a technically challenging, customer focused, service orientated environment
A clear commercial instinct and a solid understanding of value levers in contracting
An open, honest, friendly, and enthusiastic style that enables them to positively influence multiple stakeholders both internally and externally
