EXTRUDER OPERATOR

Description

· Adjust, calibrate, and produce flat sheet with proper pressure, gear pump speed, temperature and material thickness control.

· Examine visually, weigh and measure product created daily to ensure finished goods are being produced according to company standards and QC requirements. Also, you will be making adjustments as needed when operating a Die extruder with Polystyrene, Polypropylene resins.

· Work with team members, shift supervisors and all necessary personnel to take care of complications as they arise.

· Communicate with fellow team members to learn of any equipment problems or malfunctions and take care of them as they come up.

· Use regulated cleaning solutions, grease guns, oil cans, air hoses and cleaning cloths to properly maintain and clean equipment on a bimonthly basis.

· Make minor repairs to equipment when necessary, and have maintenance replace all defective, broken, or worn-out components.

· Choose and install cutters, molds, and all other necessary equipment parts so machines are always operating at peak efficiency.

Job Skills & Qualifications

Requirements

· At least 5 years of experience in a production warehouse. 

At least 3 years Forklift Exp

· High school diploma or its equivalent

· Able to lift at least 50 pounds

· Able to read measurements

Preferred:

· Well-organized and history of showing initiative

· Knowledge of current OSHA safety rules and regulations
