Extrusion Engineer - Plastic & Polymers - Competitive Pay

New opportunity for a Extrusion Engineer, supporting an R&D department! This position will be responsible for designing and developing components for medical devices using plastics and polymers. You will initiate and oversee projects for CPT components with preliminary concepts to release of product as well as be responsible for meeting customer specifications throughout the development and design of products & processes.

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical input on defining project priorities and company product goals
• Identify and solve department, system-level problems
• Contribute technical expertise and direction to department engineers and other company business functions
• Assume responsibility for interpreting data, organizing, executing, and coordinating project activities
• Lead large scale or multiple engineering projects with a high degree of independence
• Provide technical & strategic input on managing company intellectual property relevant to work area

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering with focus on plastic and polymers with 2-5 years of relevant experience
• Must have experience with extrusion and or/molding
• Plastics or Materials engineering experience
• Experience in communication and working across teams/divisions
• Experience using analytical skills and problem solving
