FAA Mission Support Engineer - Mid Level

A3 Technology, Inc. is seeking a mid-level FAA Mission Support Engineer to collaborate with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) customer and A3T team's program analyst. The successful candidate will define and implement a framework for technology and infrastructure divestiture decisions, utilizing modern tools and methodologies based on analytical data and metrics.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain a centralized inventory of technical solutions, including tools, capabilities, and data, utilized for selecting, planning, and executing various divestments.


• Identify authoritative data sources, ownership, and users, and map their applications within the divestment process.


• Visualize and document data flow dynamics throughout the divestment activities.


• Identify and document inputs, outputs, transformations, and storage points.


• Establish and document relationships, dependencies, and data flows among the technical solutions through visual representations like mind maps.


• Assess existing technical solutions for divestment processes, identifying opportunities to enhance enterprise divestment decision-making.


• Identify gaps in current systems and propose solutions to optimize technical solutions for enterprise-level decision-making.

Skills Required:

• Ability to understand, assess, and visualize data flows in information systems.


• Proficient in decision-making software tools and their implementation.


• Recent experience with FAA physical infrastructure and/or procedures.


• Experience developing or implementing a divestiture process for a government agency.


• Ability to work independently in a small team and deliver results promptly.

Skills Preferred:

• Prior working experience within the FAA Mission Support Services – Strategy directorate.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering field or physical sciences (e.g., mathematics, physics, chemistry) and 6-10 years of relevant work experience. 

Additionally, US Citizenship or documented proof of eligibility to work in the US is a must. Upon receiving a conditional offer of employment, candidates will undergo a Government investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for Government clearance. Verification of past employment, education and references is also required. It is imperative that candidates be either a US citizen or a current green card holder with the last 3 consecutive years as a resident of the US.
