Fabrication Helper (Union Position)

In Fabrication you will:

·Fabrication Helper is a regular operator of simpler machines requiring only brief instruction or training, including small spot welders, polishers, drill presses, nibblers, pipe threaders, box brakes, etc., and assembly in heavy duty equipment, wire room, and line Electricians.

Requirements

Qualified Candidates must:

• Must be able to follow patterns and measure accurately.
• Must be able to do simple layout work if required.
• This job will require lifting and moving of up to 50 lbs. manually. 
• This job will require general housekeeping tasks. 
• Demonstrate a high level of professionalism and a positive attitude.
• Maintain a friendly and helpful attitude with coworkers and management.
• Have exceptional time management skills.
• Have basic math skills. 
• Must be able to read drawings and use measuring tools.
• Have basic computer skills.  
• Forklift certified preferred. 
• Be willing to learn turret punch press/laser automation machines and robotic press brakes (previous experience a plus)
• Knowledge of different types of sheet metal and gauges preferred.
