Job Summary:
Panelmatic Inc. seeks an experienced and proactive Fabrication Supervisor to oversee daily operations in the fabrication department. This role ensures efficient production, adherence to quality standards, and the development of team members. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in metal fabrication and a proven track record of leadership in a manufacturing environment.
Job Duties:
Manage, train, and mentor a team of fabricators, ensuring compliance with safety standards and production goals
Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback
Assign tasks based on skill sets and project requirements, balancing workload among team members
Coordinate with project managers and other departments to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Monitor production schedules and adjust staffing or resources to prevent delays
Oversee the setup and operation of fabricating machines
Ensure all products meet dimensional and quality requirements as per blueprints and schematics
Review and approve final inspections before delivery
Identify and resolve fabrication issues, minimizing downtime and waste
Recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and product quality
Maintain accurate records of production activities, equipment maintenance, and team performance
Report key performance indicators (KPIs), including productivity and material usage
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Three plus years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing or industrial fabrication setting required
Advanced knowledge of fabrication processes, tools, and machinery required
Strong understanding of quality assurance procedures (QAPs) required
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills required
Proficiency in interpreting blueprints and schematics required
High levels of organizational and time management skills required
High levels of analytical, observational, and active listening skills required
High levels of reliability required
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal required
Ability to pass physical, drug, driving, and background checks required
Ability to physically push, pull, and lift 50lbs or more required
Ability to stoop and bend required
Ability to sit, stand, and walk for four plus hours at a time required
Ability to read a tape measure and prints required
Ability to convert decimals to fractions and utilize conversion charts required
Excellent manual dexterity required
Excellent color vision and eyesight required

Preferred Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
1G & 3G Welding certification preferred
Forklift certification preferred
