Southwest Electric Co. Is looking for a 1st shift and 3rd shift Fabrication Technicians in Oklahoma City. 

There is a 10% Shift differential for 3rd Shift. 

1st shift work Schedule is Monday - Saturday 56 hours per week. 

Monday - Thursday 6am -4:30 pm and Friday and Saturday 6 am - 2:30 pm. 

3rd shift Work Schedule is Sunday- Friday 56 hours per week. 

Sunday 9pm- 5:30 am Monday-Thursday 7pm- 5:30 am and Fridays 9 pm-5:30 am

Fabrication Technician Summary:

Maintain locate and organize raw materials through all areas of the fabrication/Weld

Fabrication Technician Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Read and comprehend blueprints, manufacturing instructions and Bill of Materials (BOM)
• Follow production schedule.
• Verify all correct material per BOM.
• Ability to safely operate brake press, bandsaw, plasma table and blast booth.
• Ability to understand tank prep operation including pressure test and prep for paint.
• Must be able to safely operate various hand & power tools
• Read and understand tape measures variances up to 1/16 and the ability to convert to decimals .0625
• Safely operate crane and pallet jack/forklift.
• Follow direction; maintain focus and a positive attitude.

Requirements

Fabrication Technician Competencies:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED);
• Two plus years related experience and/or training.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and physical.
• Complete a satisfactory nationwide criminal background check.
• Ability to add, subtract, divide, in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
• Competent in required job skills and knowledge; exhibits ability to learn and apply new skills.
• Displays understanding of how job relates to others; uses resources effectively.
• Is consistently at work and on time. 
• Be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50pounds.
•  Specific vision abilities required by this job include peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
