The Fabrication Tech is a key team member that will be responsible for removing, modifying, and reinstalling the rear bumper on the wheelchair-accessible vehicle conversions we produce maintaining the high-standards of quality and safety.
What you'll do:
Remove bumpers, lower interior trim, seats and carpeting keeping all items organized for reinstallation.
Cut and reform the rear bumper capping the cut edges.
Install modified bumper using laser level and maintaining an eye for detail as every part is an exterior painted OEM part.
Post build inspection prior to Quality Control.
Use hand tools including, but not limited to, impact drivers, hand drills, band saw, etc.
Maintain compliance with Freedom Motors quality and safety standards, policies and procedures, and OSHA safety regulations and follow both written and verbal work instructions.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Some work involves overhead work.
What you’ll need:
High School Diploma or equivalent. Coursework beyond High School Diploma preferred.
Previous experience working in automotive and/or recreational vehicles - build, repair, cut and/or paint experience is highly preferred.
Ability to use hand and power tools, attention to detail and quality.
Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Ability to maintain a professional and positive attitude at all times.
Outstanding attendance record and reliability.
