Position Title: Fabrication Technician I, II, III

Summary of duties – Fabrication Technician I possess a basic understanding of Fabrication processes to include, but not limited to, the safe use of common hand tools, basic understanding of measuring devices, and can read blueprints. Tasks are accomplished as assigned by the Fabrication Shop Supervisor or under the supervision of a senior Fabrication team member and in accordance with company work instructions. Fabrication Technician II is experienced in Fabrication processes to include, but not limited to, the safe use of common hand tools, understanding of measuring devices, and can read/interpret blueprints. At times, tasks assigned by the Fabrication Shop Supervisor with little or no direct supervision of a Fabrication team member and in accordance with company work instructions. Periodically required to lift/move equipment up to and including 50 pounds. Additional duties and/or responsibilities of other positions may also be assigned for which qualifications are met. Fabrication Technician III is experienced in Fabrication processes to include, but not limited to, the safe use of common hand tools, advanced understanding of measuring devices, and can read/interpret/convey blueprints. Execute tasks assigned by the Fabrication Shop Supervisor with little or no direct supervision and in accordance with company work instructions. Frequently required to lift/move equipment up to and including 50 pounds. Additional duties and/or responsibilities of other positions may also be assigned for which qualifications are met. Working knowledge of, but not limited to, NAVSEA specifications and Maritime Industry Standards.
