Job Description - Fabrication Technician IV 2nd Shift
Eaton\u2019s ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Fabrication Technician IV 2nd Shift. \n\nThe hourly rate for this position is $19.89 per hour plus a $1.00 shift differential. The hours are Monday through Friday from 3:30 pm to 11:30pm. \nThis position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.\n\nPlease note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. \n\n## What you\u2019ll do:\n\nThe fabrication technician IV will set-up, program and perform metal cutting operations, with ferrous and nonferrous metals such as (steel, stainless steel, aluminum, galvanized steel, and cast metals), with or without fixtures, using a CNC programmed housing laser.\n\n\u2022 Receive work assignments from supervisor or production control system. \n\u2022 Input information into data collection system as required. \n\u2022 Work from manufacturing information, sketches, drawings, oral and written instructions. \n\u2022 Measure and align material, insuring dimensions conform to sketches and or drawings. \n\u2022 Grind and chip parts as required insuring a clean and quality part. \n\u2022 Perform routine maintenance on machinery such as oiling, manual clamp adjustments, and clamp/finger replacement. \n\u2022 Utilize calipers, gauges, or other measuring devices to assure engineering standards to the .001 precision level. \n\u2022 Perform statistical process control on machinery, as required. \n\u2022 Flex to fabrication work areas as needed, including Geka shear, coil machine, accessory bend, press brake, downdraft, and masking.\n\n## Qualifications:\n\nRequired (Basic) Qualifications: \n\u2022 Minimum Education: High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required. \n\u2022 Authorized to work in the United States without Company sponsorship \n\u2022 Must reside within a 50 mile radius from work site \n\nPreferred qualifications: \n\u2022 Minimum three (3) months of manufacturing experience in an industrial manufacturing environment \n\u2022 Minimum three (3) months of experience using hand and air tools \n\u2022 Prior CNC programming and operation experience \n\u2022 South Carolina Manufacturing Certification (SCMC) or equivalent\n\n#IND123\n\n## Position Criteria: \n\n\u2022 Frequently pushing or pulling up to 100 lbs frequently lifting up to 50 lbs with or without accomodation.\n\n\u2022 Using material handling equipment to load, unload, transport, and position heavy loads.\n\n\u2022 Proven problem-solving skills. \n \n \n\n\nWe are committed to ensuring equal employment opportunities for all job applicants and employees.
