Value Stream Leader: 

Production Duties:

-       Ensure each team member operates in a safe manner and wears personal protective gear.

-       Ensure ACE delivers on-time, quality parts based on our customers’ requirements.

-       Ensure smooth transition between shifts so that all team members are productive as soon as they arrive.

-       Ensure team members have appropriate tools, fixtures and manufacturing supplies to meet customer quality requirements.

-       Ensure team members are maintaining tools and manage the designated vendor to calibrate them biannually as directed by the Quality Leader.

-       Ensure shop floor is customer tour ready at all times.

-       Manage daily performance by using established schedule and metrics.

-       Responsible management of overtime hours ensuring production goals are met.

-       Alert VP of Manufacturing on additional resource needs.

-       Responsible to ship your value streams share of our annual revenue and gross margin goals.

-       Review jobs over the estimate operations with the operators to determine if part needs to be requoted or process needs to be improved processes. Notify engineers.

-       Collaborate with Training Leader to develop skills training plans for each team member in the value stream.

-       Use 5 step problem solving system

Equipment Repair and Maintenance Duties:

-       Determine and coordinate when equipment needs relocation.

-       Ensure scheduled maintenance service for machines is completed.

-       Ensure equipment breakdowns are fixed promptly.

-       Determine if equipment is worth fixing, decommission old equipment.

Quality Duties:

-       Manage daily QC operation.

o   Prioritize what jobs need to ship from QC

o   Review RMAs with inspector and hand off to engineering for corrective action

o   Determine and execute course of action when a part does not pass quality requirement

Team Leader Duties

-       Promote and model the values and behaviors that define ACE’s trust-based

-       culture

-       Participate in ACE’s continuous improvement system including kaizen, TSSC 

-       problem solving, SOP’s, and safety audits

-       Use the ACE performance management system when team performance is

-       not living ACE’s values or poor job performance

-       Provide ongoing coaching and performance feedback to team members

-       Maintain daily communication with customers, engineers, and sales

-       regarding current order status

• Participate in biweekly shipping huddles with the team


• Run weekly team huddles

Qualifications:

• BS Degree in a Manufacturing or Business discipline


• A minimum of 10 years manufacturing experience with responsibilities of inventory control, IT systems, quality management, purchasing, production control, and engineering


• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Processes


• Blueprint Reading


• Metal Fabrication knowledge preferred


• Excellent Communication Skills


• Ability to prioritize and multi-task


• Emotionally Intelligent People Skills
