Facilities & Small Project Manager
Rocket Carwash, voted Omaha's Best three years in a row, is continuing to grow and expand throughout Nebraska and beyond. We are looking for a hands-on Facilities & Small Projects Manager to help maintain and improve our growing portfolio of properties.
This is a unique hybrid role for someone who enjoys both working in the field and managing projects. The Facilities & Small Projects Manager will oversee repairs, facility improvements, preventative maintenance initiatives, and small construction projects across multiple locations. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, highly organized, construction-minded, and comfortable rolling up their sleeves to tackle projects personally while coordinating larger scopes of work through contractors and vendors. This role offers significant opportunity for growth and development as Rocket Carwash continues to expand its footprint and invest in new locations, facilities, and construction projects.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary facilities and project management resource across Rocket Carwash properties.
- Perform and coordinate general repairs, installations, maintenance projects, and property improvements.
- Visit locations to identify maintenance concerns, operational issues, and facility improvement opportunities.
- Scope repair and improvement projects and determine appropriate execution strategies.
- Obtain and compare bids from subcontractors, vendors, and service providers.
- Make recommendations regarding contractor selection, project approach, and cost effectiveness.
- Coordinate and oversee contractors to ensure work is completed safely, on time, and according to scope.
- Track project schedules, budgets, invoices, and overall progress.
- Purchase and coordinate delivery of materials, equipment, and project supplies as needed.
- Complete punch-list items and project closeout activities.
- Support remodels, facility upgrades, and small construction projects across the organization.
- Maintain organized project records, documentation, and reporting.
- Partner with leadership on future development and property improvement initiatives.
- Act as the primary "boots-on-the-ground" representative for facilities and small projects throughout the Rocket Carwash portfolio.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in facilities management, construction, property maintenance, project coordination, or a related field.
- Working knowledge of commercial construction, maintenance, and repair practices.
- Hands-on experience with general repairs, basic carpentry, hardware installation, painting, drywall repair, or related trades preferred.
- Experience obtaining bids, comparing proposals, and coordinating contractors.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to read plans, drawings, and project documentation preferred.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel between locations as needed.
