Position Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated Facilities Assistant to join our team on a contract basis, covering a period from the end of March through July while a team member is out on maternity leave. This role is task-oriented and pivotal in ensuring the smooth functioning of our facilities and operations. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of handling various logistical tasks efficiently.
Responsibilities:
- Stocking Beverage Coolers and Pantries: Regularly replenish beverages and snacks in designated areas, ensuring availability for employees and visitors.
- Hands-on Logistical Support and Fulfillment: Assist with various logistical tasks, including but not limited to, moving furniture, setting up equipment, and organizing storage areas.
- Package Receipts: Receive and distribute incoming packages, ensuring timely delivery to recipients and proper handling of sensitive materials.
- Vendor Supporting Services: Liaise with vendors and service providers for facility-related needs, such as maintenance, repairs, and supply deliveries.
- Supporting the Infrastructure Support Operations Team: Collaborate with the infrastructure support team to address facility-related issues and implement improvement initiatives.
- Ensuring HQ Offices are a Welcoming and Collaborative Environment: Proactively maintain the cleanliness and organization of office spaces, including meeting rooms, common areas, and restrooms. Assist in creating a welcoming atmosphere for employees and visitors alike.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional vocational training or certifications in facilities management or related field is a plus.
- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in an office or corporate environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office suite).
- Physical ability to lift and move objects up to 25 pounds.
