Facilities Associate/Porter - Generous Compensation

Eastridge Workforce Solutions is hiring an experienced Facility Assistant to fill the role of Day Porter for one of the areas premier home furnishing store. The Day Porter plays a crucial role in maintaining the office environment's cleanliness, organization, and functionality. The Day Porter ensures that the workplace remains a comfortable and efficient space for employees. From cleaning and tidying common areas to reporting maintenance issues and disinfecting high-touch surfaces, this position requires strong attention to detail, proactive problem-solving skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Schedule: Mon & Wed – 8 am to 12 pm, Tues & Thursday – 8 am to 2 pm

Essential Functions & Key Responsibilities

• Keep common areas tidy and presentable throughout the day.
• Regularly monitor and replenish snack supplies in designated areas.
• Wash, dry, and put away dishes as needed to maintain a clean kitchen area.
• Maintain cleanliness and functionality of coffee machines, including brewing coffee as needed.
• Prepare meeting rooms with the necessary equipment and supplies as needed.
• Assist in setting up training materials and equipment and ensure timely teardown post-training sessions.
• Monitor inventory levels of office supplies and pantry items and communicate needs to the appropriate personnel.
• Regularly check and replenish first aid kits and maintain cleanliness in restrooms by ensuring adequate stocking of supplies, including toiletries and paper products.
• Assist in setting up lunch areas for employee meals or events and removing decorations after events or holidays as needed.
• Clean and polish glass doors and windows to ensure a clear appearance, as well as regularly disinfect high-touch areas such as doorknobs and handles.
• Regularly dust and clean office furniture and wipe down and sanitize desktops and tabletops to ensure a clean and hygienic work environment.
• Frequently clean and organize office refrigerators, disposing of expired or spoiled items.
• Identify and report maintenance or repair issues to the facilities manager for timely resolution.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Required Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Must have 1+ years of experience in a janitorial, maintenance, or similar role.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Familiarity with common cleaning supplies.
• Ability to withstand prolonged periods of standing and walking throughout the office.
• Ability to alternate between sitting and standing, reach overhead, crouch, kneel, and lift up to 35 pounds at times.
