Job Description - Facilities Coordinator

Vision

Purpose


The Facilities Coordinator at Chapel Pointe will ensure the building meets the needs of each ministry event with excellence. This role develops and equips volunteer teams to support facility care and daily operations, creating a welcoming and well-maintained environment that advances Chapel Pointes mission of Transformed Followers.



Job Responsibilities



Event Setup and Execution



  • Oversee all internal and external event logistics, including room setup, teardown, equipment needs, and volunteer scheduling

  • Manage building schedules and systems to support ministry events, including HVAC, door access, and overall facility readiness

  • Coordinate room layouts, equipment needs, and facility preparation for regular programming and special gatherings

  • Execute room changeovers and room configurations as needed, including table and chair setups
    Ensure all event setups and teardowns are completed accurately, on time, and according to standards

  • Partner with staff and lay leaders to plan and execute event setup and teardown needs

  • Utilize building management and task management systems to track facility needs and support event coordination



Volunteer Leadership and Development



  • Connect, build and manage teams of volunteers to assist with set-ups, cleaning, grounds, schedules and other responsibilities as they arise 

  • Responsible for volunteer recruitment, relationship building, and ongoing engagement 

  • Lead and support volunteer leaders, pouring into them and empowering them to have ownership to carry out work effectively and lead other volunteers 

  • Manage the use of Planning Center for volunteer scheduling and coordination

  • Accomplish facilities and event needs through volunteers by providing clarity, training, and support


Facilities and Site Support



  • Work closely with the Maintenance and Grounds Coordinator to assist with any facilities or grounds needs

  • Perform related duties and special assignments as required by the Facilities Director

Qualifications



  • At least one year of building and grounds maintenance experience (preferred)

  • General knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems 

  • Ability to use general groundskeeping equipment 

  • Construction experience a plus

  • Team building and/or management experience a plus
