Facilities Coordinator



Introduction:


This position is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the Cooperative’s buildings and grounds for optimal efficiency, employee comfort and safety, positive public image and compliance with applicable laws and Cooperative Policy.



Supervisor: Director of Safety and Loss Control



Knowledge/Education Requirements:




  1. High school diploma or equivalent. Facilities management training or three years custodial experience.

  2. Self-motivated and able to prioritize and plan.

  3. The ability to maintain confidentiality and work independently.

  4. Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  5. Must be able to operate janitorial and grounds maintenance equipment.



Duties/Responsibilities:



Essential Functions:




    1. Inspection of buildings and grounds.

    2. Preventive maintenance for the Cooperative’s buildings, mechanical system, electrical systems, HVAC systems and assigned maintenance equipment.

    3. Contact for tenants of the any Cooperative’s leased space.

    4. Repair and/or replacement of defective equipment or components.

    5. Oversight of service contracts.

    6. Garbage services.

    7. Purchase and store routine cleaning, maintenance and storeroom supplies.

    8. Recommend equipment needed to perform duties effectively and efficiently.

    9. Meeting setup, arrange tables and chairs, assist with food and beverage.

    10. Assist employees with adjustment and proper operation of furniture.

    11. Responsible for breakroom vending services and supplies

    12. Daily pickup and delivery of mail.


     


    Non-Essential Functions:


    Performs other duties as required.



    Physical Demands:


    Must be able to lift 100 lbs. maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 50 lbs.  Must be able to climb (ascending and descending), using the feet and legs and/or hands and arms; must have sense of balance; must be able to stoop; kneel; crouch’ and crawl.  Must be able to reach; handle; work primarily with fingers; and feel.  Must be able to talk and hear.  Must be able to obtain impressions through the eyes of the shape, size, distance, motion, and color or other characteristics of objects.  Must possess acuity, far and near, depth perception, field of vision, accommodation, and color vision.  Must be able to speak clearly and communicate effectively in order to interact with company employees and members.
