Alturas Analytics is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented, and proactive Facilities Custodian to support the cleanliness, safety, and maintenance of our office, laboratory, and outdoor spaces. The ideal candidate takes initiative, works independently with minimal supervision, and communicates effectively to ensure facility needs are addressed promptly. Position Summary:

The Facilities Custodian is responsible for performing custodial and light maintenance tasks to ensure a clean, safe, and well-maintained environment at Alturas Analytics. 

Essential Duties and Tasks:

• Clean and sanitize Alturas facilities, including kitchen, bathrooms, office spaces, and laboratory spaces, maintaining a consistent standard of cleanliness throughout work hours
• Perform periodic deep-cleaning, such as shampooing carpet and office furniture
• Perform light maintenance in facilities, including painting, dusting light fixtures, glass cleaning, and HVAC filter replacement
• Perform exterior maintenance, including: general landscaping upkeep (weeding, light pruning, raking and disposal of leaves and seasonal debris); snow and ice removal from walkways, entrances; maintaining cleanliness of outdoor areas (sweeping sidewalks, entryways)
• Communicate equipment malfunctions, supply needs, and building repair issues to supervisor promptly
• May require one Saturday shift per month

Additional Duties and Tasks:

• Provide assistance to Laboratory Management and Office Manager as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

Education and Experience Requirements:

• High School Diploma
• 1-3 years of work experience
• Current driver’s license

Nice-to-Have

• Experience maintaining supply inventories
• Prior custodial experience in a regulated environment

Skills and Abilities Requirements:

• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Proactive approach to identifying and addressing cleaning and maintenance needs
• Good communication skills for reporting issues and coordinating with supervisors
