POSITION SUMMARY: As a Facilities Project Engineer, you’ll lead high-impact capital projects and facility improvements that directly enhance production, safety, sustainability, and innovation at our St. Cloud and Crookston manufacturing plants. WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Lead and manage capital and facility improvement projects from design to execution
Prepare and oversee project budgets, timelines, and implementation plans
Develop Business cases and Return on Investment (ROI) analyses for new initiatives and improvements
Maintain and update CAD layouts across manufacturing sites
Specify and coordinate capital equipment installations, upgrades, and layout changes
Support lease negotiations and real estate planning for North American Bus and Coach (NABC) facilities
Work closely with Manufacturing Engineering, Process Planning, and Tool & Die teams
Present updates to Facility Council and senior stakeholders
Champion lean manufacturing initiatives and support make/buy strategic decisions
Promote safe, clean and energy-efficient facility operations
Embed continuous improvement into all aspects of facilities work
A degree in Engineering or a combination of related education and experience
2-5 years of experience managing capital or facilities projects (PMP certification a plus)
Must be able to travel 25% of the time to Crookston, MN and Canada locations
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Oracle, and MS Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint)
Ability to interpret architectural and engineering drawings
Experience with lean manufacturing concepts and implementation
Strong organizational and communication skills - confidence presenting to leadership
Adaptability in fast-paced, team-oriented manufacturing environments
