The Facilities Engineer is responsible for overseeing, managing, and improving the infrastructure and manufacturing property of the Jonesville facility. This includes coordinating and executing improvement projects, managing third-party contractors and vendors, handling security systems, and providing strategic improvements to ensure efficient and safe plant operations. The role also involves supervising hourly associates, partnering with the maintenance team on various service items, and overseeing the internal waste management and recycling processes. This position is crucial for maintaining and enhancing our facility's operational standards and environmental sustainability. In this function you will: Lead and develop project goals, budgets, and work breakdown structures. Align cross-functional resources (production, quality, EHS, maintenance, engineering, vendors) to meet project objectives. Create and execute communication plans for project teams and stakeholders. Implement new equipment at the greenfield site. Manage third-party vendor relationships (security, janitorial, landscaping) and ensure compliance with EHS standards. Enforce safety expectations and maintain a zero-incident culture. Oversee plant security systems, badge access, cameras, and fire protection systems. Coordinate forklift lease management. Prepare and submit Capital Appropriation Requests (CAR) for facility projects. Supervise and direct hourly associates. Partner with maintenance for shared services and ongoing needs. Manage internal waste removal (recycling and landfill) and coordinate with vendors. Supervise waste removal team for efficient operations. Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution. Two (2) years of experience in a manufacturing or similar industrial environment setting Two (2) years of engineering or project management experience, including internships Relocation assistance will be provided for candidates that reside outside a 50-mile radius of Jonesville, SC Graduate degree Strong leadership skills with experience managing both internal teams and external vendors Familiarity with security systems, badge systems, and/or fire detection systems Experience in strategic planning and executing long-term facility improvements
