Facilities Engineer, Maintenance

Description

We are seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Engineer to join our Tribal Facilities team. The ideal candidate will have experience in mechanical systems, electrical systems, structural maintenance, preventative maintenance, and technical documentation, as outlined in the full job description below. To perform this job successfully, an individual must satisfactorily perform each essential duty.

Technical Skills and Knowledge:

• Mechanical Systems: Understanding HVAC systems, plumbing, and low-temperature refrigeration.
• Electrical Systems: Knowledge of electrical systems, including installation, operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems, equipment, and fixtures.
• Structural Maintenance: Proficiency in carpentry, painting, and general building maintenance.
• Preventative Maintenance: Ability to perform and schedule routine maintenance tasks to prevent equipment failure and identify potential safety hazards.
• Technical Documentation: Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical manuals, and schematics and prepare progress reports.

Experience:

Relevant Work Experience: 4 years of experience in facilities maintenance, ideally with increasing responsibility.

Specialized Knowledge: Experience with specific systems relevant to the facility, such as industrial HVAC systems, residential HVAC systems, Solar systems, electrical systems, plumbing systems and heavy equipment operation. 

Education and Certifications:

A high school diploma or equivalent is required, and technical or vocational training in maintenance is preferred.

Certifications: Relevant certifications, such as HVAC, electrical, or facilities management certification, are preferred.

Physical Requirements:

Physical Stamina: Good physical condition to perform manual labor, lift heavy equipment, and work in various environments, including extreme heat.

Safety Compliance: Knowledge of and adherence to safety regulations and protocols.

Candidate must be a minimum of 21 years of age.

• Monday-Friday 
• 8-hour shifts
• Day shift
• On-call schedule as needed

Pay starts at $26/hr. and will DOE.
