The Global Workplace and Infrastructure (GWI) team is responsible for all facilities, from acquisition through operation to disposition. As a member of the GWI team, this position will play an exciting and important role in our success.\n\nThis New College Graduate (NCG) role is designed to provide early\u2011career professionals with hands\u2011on exposure to facilities operations, technical infrastructure, and workplace services within a large, complex campus environment. The position supports daily facilities operations while developing foundational skills in safety, reliability, asset management, and service delivery.\n\nThe role may include structured rotations across facilities disciplines during the first 12\u201318 months, with the goal of transitioning into a long\u2011term facilities or technical infrastructure role within GWI.\n\n## Key Responsibilities\n\n### Facilities \u0026 Operations Support\n\n * Support day\u2011to\u2011day operations of campus facilities, including offices, labs, and technical spaces\n * Assist with preventive and corrective maintenance activities for building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, life safety, controls)\n * Participate in operational readiness, inspections, audits, and issue resolution\n\n\n\n### Technical \u0026 Project Support\n\n * Support small facilities projects, upgrades, and renovations under guidance of senior engineers or managers\n * Assist with vendor coordination, work order tracking, and service quality monitoring\n * Support commissioning, turnover, and warranty tracking activities for new or renovated spaces\n\n\n\n### Systems, Data \u0026 Process\n\n * Learn and use CMMS tools (e.g., Maximo) to track work orders, assets, and maintenance history\n * Assist with asset data accuracy, documentation, and closeout packages\n * Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, reliability, cost, and customer experience\n\n\n\n### Cross\u2011Functional Collaboration\n\n * Work with internal partners including EHS, Security, Real Estate, Construction, IT, and Workplace Services\n * Participate in team meetings, safety reviews, and operational planning discussions\n\n\n\n## Learning \u0026 Development Objectives (NCG Focus)\n\n * Gain exposure to operating and maintaining complex facilities and R\u0026D lab environments\n * Learn industry best practices for facilities reliability, safety, and compliance\n * Develop foundational skills in facilities engineering, project support, and vendor management\n * Build a long\u2011term career path within GWI through mentoring, training, and rotational experience\n\n\n\n## Required Qualifications\n\n * Bachelor\u2019s or master\u2019s degree in:\n * Mechanical Engineering\n * Electrical Engineering\n * Facilities Engineering\n * Industrial Engineering\n * Construction Management\n * or related field\n * Graduation within the NCG eligibility window (per Applied Materials NCG guidelines)\n * 0\u20132 years of relevant work experience (internships, co\u2011ops, or academic projects acceptable)\n\n\n\n## Preferred Qualifications\n\n * Interest in facilities, infrastructure, or industrial environments\n * Exposure to building systems, construction, or maintenance through coursework or internships\n * Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills\n * Willingness to learn and work in a hands\u2011on, onsite environment\n\n\n\n## Additional Information\n\n * This role is based on site and may require occasional after\u2011hours support for critical activities\n * Limited travel may be required as part of learning or rotational assignments\n\n\n\n## Qualifications\n\n### Education:\n\nBachelor\u0027s Degree (Required)\n\n### Skills\n\n### Certifications:\n\n### Languages:\n\n### Years of Experience:\n\n4 - 7 Years\n\n### Work Experience:\n\n## Additional Information\n\n### \n\n### Shift:\n\n10-Day 8-Hr (United States of America)\n\n### \n\n### Travel:\n\nNo\n\n### \n\n### Relocation Eligible:\n\nYes\n\n### Referral Payment Plan:\n\nNone\n\nU.S. Salary Range:\n\n$90,000.00 - $124,000.00\n\nThe salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members.
