Schedule: TUESDAY-SATURDAY 8AM-5PM

Mendocino Community Health Clinic (MCHC) is looking for a dependable and hardworking Facilities Maintenance Landscaper to join our team. You’ll be the go-to person for keeping the outdoor areas of our health centers looking great and safe for our patients, staff, and visitors.

What You'll Do:

• Mow lawns, trim edges, pull weeds, blow leaves, and prune trees and bushes
• Care for flower beds, shrubs, and other landscaped areas
• Operate and maintain multi-zone sprinkler systems.
• Handle seasonal tasks like snow/ice removal, mulching, and maintaining irrigation
• Inspect outdoor areas to fix or report hazards or damage
• Use and take care of landscaping tools and equipment
• Operate heavy equipment including tractors, mowers, trenchers, loaders, truck & trailer and skid steers
• Do small repair jobs like fixing signs, fences, benches, or walkways
• Travel between our four clinic locations as needed
• Keep maintenance records and stay on top of safety standards
• Order supplies and equipment

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

• Ability to read and follow instructions in English
• Possess a valid California Driver’s License and be insurable to drive MCHC vehicles
• At least 1 year of commercial landscaping or groundskeeping.
• Ability to operate tractors, mowers, trenchers, truck and trailer, loaders and skid steers.

Preferred Qualifications:

• A high school diploma or GED
• 2+ years of commercial landscaping or groundskeeping.
• Experience installing and operating multi-zone sprinkler systems and irrigation systems
• Familiar with PVC, ABS, metal & copper piping, and drip & mist systems.
• Ability to construct walkways, patios, walls, fences, decks & posts.
